    2021-22 Season

    Chaminade Hockey Families,

I want to start off by saying, how excited we are for the future of our club. With a loaded middle school and a lot of excitement surrounding our team, the future is very bright. With that said, there were a lot of tough decisions to make after this evaluation period. As our staff continues to promote and grow the club, the level of expectations for our players will grow with it. We currently have 53 kids in the program and will have 3 teams this season, 1 varsity, JV Red and JV White. We currently have 60+ kids in the middle school at this time with about 10-12 elite players looking to enroll for 8th or 9th grade next year.

Our goal is, to continue to grow the brand that is Chaminade hockey and provide hockey players with a structured competitive environment, no matter their skill level.  We feel it’s important for a young man’s overall development to have the resources available to him to be a teammate, be held accountable, feel responsibility for his team’s success and compete, whether that’s at the varsity or JV level. Competition is what drives us all and through competition is how we grow!

Next, after this year’s tryouts the bar has been raised and our players need to take their fitness level and skill development a lot more serious, during the off season and throughout the year. It was very evident, that some of our players had fallen victim to procrastination and felt comfortable about their spots with the club.  After countless conversations with some of our players, the culture is shifting and the level of competition to make the 30 man roster is the highest I’ve seen in my 4 years.  Current players need to understand that if your goal is to play or continue to play on the Varsity team, practicing with Chaminade should be looked at as the bare minimum.

Lastly, we want our players to grow with our club! On that note, I can assure everyone reading this, Tom Kaiman, Chris Ambrose, Lance French, the board and I don’t plan to slow down. We will continue to raise the bar every year!

    Dear Chaminade Hockey Families,

Due to a variety of reasons, the Chaminade Hockey Board has made the decision to postpone the Golf Tournament this year and reschedule it for Spring/Summer 2022.  When we have a confirmed date, more information will be sent.  We hope you will consider supporting the Hockey Club by participating in the golf tournament on the new date.

The season will start next week with the first skate on September 7.  Coach Watson will post what group should skate when on the website http://www.ccphockey.com  Please make sure you are registered.  No player will be allowed to participate until they have been completely registered through Sports Engine.  Thank you very much and see you at the rink!

    Best,
