The JV Red Devils beat Francis Howell Central 8-1 to win Championship.

The Junior Varsity started their season off with a bang last night by winning the Lafayette Hockey Tournament.  The tournament, held at Lindenwood Ice Rink, featured several of the top JV programs in the area.  The Red Devils started the tournament with a 6-2 win over a strong Kirkwood squad.  Newcomer, goalie Ellis Burgett made several key stops getting his first victory as a Red Devil against his former team.  The team was paced in points and goals by junior Cam Brinkmeyer who seemed to be able to score from anywhere on the ice throughout the tournament.  The team was strong at both ends of the ice.  They scored 24 goals during the tournament with key goals coming from freshmen Mitchell LoCigno, Blake Williams, Trevor Shockley and Lee Holtzman.  The defense also had an excellent tournament.  A veteran squad led by Kenny Behlmann, Jacob Debus, Adam Glassl, Spencer Snodsmith and Noah Catt allowed only 8 goals in 4 games.  The clinching victory came against another strong team in Francis Howell Central who never let up during the game, making sure the Red Devils played strong until the final whistle.
